Take 8 broadsheets (large format newspaper)
2. Align and Smooth
To produce a quality sword requires careful preparation. In this case, the squaring and smoothing of your newsprint stack prior to rolling
3. Rolling Tightly
On a hard surface, take one half-inch of one of the short edges as your crimp, and then halve that again with a further fold.
Walk the edge up the page, until there is sufficient roll for you to smoothly roll the rest of the way
4. Complete with tape
At a bare minimum, secure the roll at top and bottom. A central ring of tape is ideal to prevent unravelling, but a total of five, as pictured, gives the best outcome without creating a cudgel. Remember this Weapon of War is meant for the War of Art - the intent being that no-one gets hurt, and everyone has fun.
